Staying help center

Staying gives vacation rentals and independent hotels a branded guest portal with online check-in, a digital guidebook and in-stay ordering. These guides cover setup, plan limits and the questions buyers ask before they sign up. Nothing here requires an account.

Get started

  1. Create an account on the Free plan (one property, no card), or pick a paid plan on the pricing page.
  2. Add your property and upload your logo and colours under Admin → Branding.
  3. Connect your bookings: a PMS webhook or an OTA calendar (see below).
  4. Build the guidebook and list the services you want to sell.
  5. Share the portal link or QR code in your booking confirmation and at the property.

Connect a PMS (Guesty, Hostaway, OwnerRez, Hospitable, Lodgify)

  1. Open Admin → Properties, choose the property and open Integrations.
  2. Select your PMS and copy the webhook URL, for example https://staying.co/api/webhooks/pms/guesty.
  3. In your PMS, create a webhook for reservation created, updated and cancelled events pointing at that URL, and set a signing secret.
  4. Paste the same secret into Staying. Optionally add your PMS API key and run the connection test.
  5. Create a test reservation in the PMS and check that it appears under bookings in Staying.

The sync is one-way: Staying never changes rates, availability or listings in your PMS. Technical details are in the developer docs.

Connect Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com (iCal)

  1. Open Admin → Channel manager and add a connection using the iCal method.
  2. Paste the listing's iCal export URL from the OTA into Staying.
  3. Copy Staying's export feed and paste it into the OTA's calendar import, so bookings made elsewhere block those dates.

iCal carries dates only. Guest names and emails come from online check-in in the portal.

Build the digital guidebook

Open Admin → Guidebook and start from one of four templates (Classic Hotel, Airbnb Style, Minimal, Luxury). Pages are built from 13 block types: heading, text, image, image with text, gallery, WiFi, FAQ, video, map, divider, call to action, icon list and service order button. The guidebook is part of the guest portal and can be printed or shared as a QR code. For cabins and holiday homes, see the digital guestbook page.

Sell in-stay services

List services such as breakfast, late check-out, transfers or experiences under Admin → Services. Guests order and pay by card in the portal, and orders appear in the admin for your team. Automated upsell rules (timed offers) are part of the Growth plan and above.

Billing

  • Plans are billed monthly in euros through Stripe. Annual billing is not available yet.
  • Upgrade, downgrade or cancel from Admin → Billing; there are no long-term contracts.
  • Existing customers keep their original price while their subscription stays continuous.
  • Staying takes 0% commission on bookings and orders.

Languages

The guest portal, online check-in and WiFi sign-in page are available in 30 languages, including right-to-left Arabic and Hebrew. The marketing site is published in the same 30 languages. The staff back office is available in English, Norwegian, Danish, German, Swedish and Spanish.

What Staying does not do

  • It is not an OTA channel manager: it does not push rates or availability to Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo through their APIs.
  • It does not write data back to your PMS.
  • It has no general public REST API and no native mobile app.
  • It does not offer annual billing, SSO or a choice of hosting region today.

Frequently asked questions

What languages does the guest portal support?
The guest portal, online check-in and WiFi sign-in page are available in 30 languages and follow the guest's browser language unless the guest picks another. The staff back office is available in English, Norwegian, Danish, German, Swedish and Spanish.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests open the portal from a link or QR code in any mobile browser. There is no native iOS or Android app.
Can I pay yearly?
Not yet. Plans are billed monthly in euros and can be cancelled at any time.
What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel?
Downgrading to Free disables paid features at the end of the billing period; your property and data stay. Guest data can be exported or deleted on request through the GDPR tools.
Does Staying take a commission on bookings or orders?
No. Staying charges the subscription only. Stripe's card processing fees apply to payments.
