Does Staying replace my PMS or channel manager?

No, not if you rely on a channel manager. Staying imports bookings and runs the guest experience on top of them. It does not push rates, availability or listing content to Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com or your PMS.

Which PMS platforms can send bookings to Staying?

Guesty, Hostaway, OwnerRez, Hospitable and Lodgify, through signed webhooks for booking created, updated and cancelled events. Any other system that can export an iCal calendar can feed Staying through iCal.

Is the Airbnb connection an official API integration?

No. Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com connect through their iCal calendar export and import. That syncs dates and blocks, not guest contact details, which is why Staying collects guest details through online check-in.

Staying is a guest-experience layer: it reads bookings from your PMS or OTA calendars and gives every guest a branded portal for check-in, the guidebook and in-stay ordering. Connections are one-way and inbound. Staying never writes rates, availability or listing content back to your PMS or the OTAs.

PMS connections

Each PMS sends a webhook to Staying when a reservation is created, updated or cancelled. Staying verifies the HMAC-SHA256 signature with the shared secret you set on both sides, then creates or updates the matching stay so the guest gets a portal invitation without anyone re-typing the booking.

Set it up in Admin → Properties → Integrations. You can add your PMS API key so Staying can run a one-click connection test. Setup steps are in the help center.

Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com (iCal)

Paste each listing's iCal export URL into Staying, and paste Staying's export feed into the OTA, so booked dates stay in sync both ways. No partner API credentials are needed. iCal only carries dates and blocks, so guest names and emails come from Staying's online check-in rather than the OTA.

Direct API connections to Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia are not available. If you need API-level channel management (rate and availability push), keep a channel manager or PMS and connect it to Staying.

The Free plan includes one iCal calendar connection; Starter and above include unlimited calendar connections.

Stripe payments

Direct bookings, in-stay orders and gift cards are paid by card through Stripe's hosted payment components. Card details go to Stripe and never touch Staying's servers. Staying takes no commission on these payments; Stripe's own processing fees apply.

What is not available today

Direct API connections to Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia or Google Hotel Ads.
Writing data back to your PMS (rates, availability, guest notes).
